Best Way To Lose Weight

The topic of weight loss always seems to be talked about by men and women. But the reasons for men and women tend to differ on why they need to drops the extra pounds.

For women, often times the problem is not that you eat too much, but that you don’t eat enough. That’s right ladies, you need to eat more to lose weight. For many women, fiber is lacking in their diet. You need to keep your fiber high to maintain regularity. If you’re not regular, you’re holding onto excess waste that could otherwise be out of your system leaving you pounds lighter.

Women should eat 6 small meals a day. Fiber and protein should be staples of the diet. You need to stay low on the bad fats and keep the healthy fats in there. Also eating antioxidants and drinking a lot of water helps flush out the toxins out of your system.

For men, usually the opposite is the problem. Eating too much is the problem. Men tend to snack more than women and eat more food too. Scaling back on the fatty foods and the junk food is likely to be what is needed. For most men, often times eating less junk food and eating more fruits and veggies would kick start the fat loss process. Much like women, men should eat 6 meals a day, every 2 to 3 hours.

For both men and women, exercise is important too. Cardio should be done. With at least 3 days of cardio per week at half an hour per session, solid drops would be attained.

It takes 3,500 burned calories to drop one pound. You must factor in your basal metabolic rate as well. Your BMR is how many calories you burn daily just by laying in bed, essentially it is how much you burn just by being alive. Add in how much you consume and you’ll see where you’re at in terms of daily caloric intake without exercising. Once you know where you are at, you will know just how much cardio you need to get the weight loss you’re looking for.

However, do not rush into weight loss. If you try to overdo it, you’ll drop the weight too fast and will lose your tone. Optimally, you want to lose about 1 to 2 lbs of fat per week.

Yes, the slow build process can be difficult to accept, but for the sake of being healthy and doing things the right way, you must have discipline and patience. This means sticking to you diet and sticking to your training in the gym, both weights and cardio.
