Recovery is possibly the most important aspect. For example, much like how if you were to break a bone, you would wait for it to heal and it would come back stronger and more durable, you should give your muscles ample recovery time to rebuild.

To improve the recovery process, supplements like protein and BCAA’s are a must. Other supplements like glutamine are good too. Creatine is a popular supplement for improving exercise performance as well as post workout recovery. Consumption of complex carbs also plays a major role in filling out the muscles and giving that pumped look after the workout. They also provide energy for the workout. Preworkouts and other supplements are also extremely popular and useful for building muscle. Not all supplements are absolutely necessary, but a steady consumption of protein and BCAA’s are highly suggested.
